The Economic and Social Development Council (CDES) is a collegial body made up of representatives from civil society. Its tasks consists of direct advice to the President of the Republic through recommendations that can be transformed into new public policies or contribute to the improvement of existing policies - what distinguishes itself from other government councils by advising the president in all areas of the Federal Executive Branch.
