Internacional Association of Economic and Social Councils and Similar Institutions (AICESIS)
The International Association of Economic and Social Councils and Similar Institutions (Aicesis) is an organization that assembles economic and social councils from more than 70 countries in Africa, Europe, Latin America, the Caribbean and Asia. Aicesis seeks to stimulate and promote exchanges between its members and, more broadly, to bolster dialogue between the economic and social partners at a global level. The Economic and Social Development Council (CDES) has initiated a dialogue with Aicesis in 2003 and became a member in 2004. The Brazilian Council has held the presidency of the Association and is currently a member of its Board.
