About CDES
Settling the Economic and Social Development Council - CDES – helped to deepen the dialogue between Government and society widening the capability of shared definition on major decisions for Brazil.
The social dialogue affirms and ensures the feasibility of a long-term development project as an expression of the synthesis of society’s predominant values and interests.
CDES since its origin has agreed upon and submitted to the President of the Republic, amid other initiatives, the Letters of Coordination, the National Development Agenda, the Strategic Foundations for Development, and the Agenda for the New Cycle of Brazilian Development, with directives, proposals, and concrete goals to be achieved.
These contributions have had an impact on the quality of Governmental actions, and produced concrete results, referrals and proposals, which address the nation’s fundamental development issues.
