The Minister of State, appointed by the President, holds the post of Executive Secretary of CDES.

The technical structure of the Executive Secretariat of CDES - Secretariat of the Council of Economic and Social Development (SEDES) is responsible for the technical coordination of the debating process and to arrange the analysis and formulation of proposals as well as the organizational support of CDES.
